Tzu Chi Disaster Relief Emergency Financial Assistance
The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation provides Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) to individuals and families impacted by severe disasters. This direct cash grant program is currently open to survivors of the recent Washington wildfires and the Hawk Fire in Nevada. It is designed to help both renters and homeowners whose pre-disaster primary residence was completely destroyed or sustained major structural damage (greater than 26%). The assistance is not a loan, and there is no income test to qualify.
Must be a renter or homeowner whose primary residence was destroyed or sustained major damage (26% or more) for households affected by the Washington wildfires or Hawk fire.
Fill out the digital application form on the Tzu Chi website. You will need to provide your driver's license number, a complete list of all family members who resided in the home at the time of evacuation and, if applicable, FEMA Registration Number and Red Cross Case Number.
