Jewish Free Loan Association Fire Relief Loans
Description
JFLA offers zero‐interest, zero‐fee loans to individuals, non-profits, and small businesses affected by recent wildfires in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. Loan amounts range up to $50,000 based on credit score and guarantor status. Funds can cover temporary housing, transportation, essentials, equipment, inventory, and other recovery needs. Repayment terms are up to 36 months with payments beginning 90 days after disbursement. Applicants undergo a hard credit check and must meet standard eligibility criteria.
Requirements
- “Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a current CA issued ID (i.e. driver’s license) and Social Security number or ITIN.”
- “Applicants must have a CA issued ID or driver’s license showing permanent residency in Los Angeles, Ventura, or Santa Barbara County.”
- “Applicants must demonstrate a need for a loan (i.e. a hotel receipt, insurance claim, etc.) and must detail how the loan funds will be used.”
- “Applicants must have a steady source of income to show the ability to repay the loan.”
- “Documentation provided must have a consistent mailing address.”
- “Bank account information (e.g. a voided check, bank statement, etc.).”
