The Hillsboro Community Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund provides grants to nonprofit and charitable organizations in Hillsboro and surrounding communities that have been impacted by disasters." "All funds raised are awarded as grants to eligible nonprofit organizations or government entities that support recovery efforts for individuals and communities affected by disasters." "Disasters eligible for recovery response include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, industrial accidents, acts of terrorism, or other incidents of mass violence." "Upon activation of the fund, grant relief applications will be made available.
Requirements
  • Must be an eligible organization type: "501(c)(3) public charity", "Government", "Education", or "Faith-based".
  • "Individuals or organizations that do NOT fall into one of the above entities are encouraged to partner with a fiscal agent in one of those categories."
  • "Management of the organization should be in the hands of reliable, ethical, and experienced personnel."
  • Grants are generally limited to local service area: "Grants are typically restricted to the geographic areas served by the Hillsboro Community Foundation."
