Hearts & Homes of Arkansas (Natural Disaster Assistance Grants)
- Must be an Arkansas resident seeking help with housing-related expenses due to "catastrophic illness or a natural disaster".
- Assistance is for "rent, mortgage, utilities, or other every day necessary housing-related expenses".
- Grant cap: "There is a $2000 limit per applicant".
- Application must include supporting documents: "Applications MUST include all relevant lease agreements, mortgage statements, or copies of utility bills in order to be eligible for assistance."
- Incomplete applications: "Any applications that do not include supporting documentation will not be processed."
- Timing: "HEARTS AND HOMES IS NOT AN IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM" and "The board meets once monthly to review all submitted applications."
Download the Hearts & Homes of Arkansas Natural Disaster application PDF, complete it, and submit it with all required supporting documents. Applications are reviewed once per month by the organization’s board; if approved, assistance may take up to three weeks to be delivered.
