Salvation Army Disaster Volunteers (The Salvation Army of Billings)

Description
The Salvation Army helps feed victims and first responders during a disaster. Our canteen serves Yellowstone County as well as other parts of Montana and possibly other states during large disasters." "We are looking for the following volunteer positions: -Canteen Driver (Must have a CDL and preferably take ServSafe Food Handlers course) -Canteen Manager (Must have ServSafe Food Manager license) -Crew Members (Take ServSafe Food Handlers course)" "Volunteers will be on call for a week at a time and must be ready to be deployed in case a disaster strikes.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 and older
  • Must be able to stay calm under pressure
  • Must be able to deploy to a disaster for up to a week at a time
  • Must be able to work with diverse populations
  • Canteen Driver: Must have a CDL (ServSafe Food Handlers course preferred)
  • Canteen Manager: Must have a ServSafe Food Manager license
  • Crew Members: Take ServSafe Food Handlers course

Create an account or log in if prompted, then submit your volunteer interest through the Respond flow. Volunteers are generally expected to be on-call for a week at a time, with an option to be trained and placed on a reserve call-up list if full on-call weeks are not possible.
