Fires Recovery Grant (LAEDC Economic Impact Fund) Expired

Description
The Fire Recovery & Resilience Initiative is the first grant opportunity of LAEDC’s new Economic Impact Fund, created to support small business recovery, resilience, and long-term growth in Los Angeles County. This initiative will provide direct relief to small businesses and community-based organizations (CBOs) that suffered losses in the January 2025 Palisades and Eaton wildfires, with a focus on businesses that have not accessed other major aid programs. $5,000 grants are available for approximately 80 small businesses, and $25,000 grants for 4 community-based organizations providing direct technical assistance and recovery support.
Requirements
  • Located in or primarily serving one of the designated wildfire disaster zip codes (listed for Palisades and Eaton Fires)
  • Businesses outside the listed ZIP codes may still be considered on a case-by-case basis if they can demonstrate significant impact due to proximity to the disaster zone
  • In operation at least 6 months before the fires (registered on or before July 1, 2024)
  • Less than $2M in annual revenue (most recent year)
  • In good standing with all local, state, and federal requirements
  • Experienced direct financial losses due to the fires (closure, damages, or revenue decline)
